I've heard so many good things about the inaugural championship largely echoing these words in a letter received from one of the cricketers: "What a day. Beer, BBQ, banter, bowling, batting, boar all encompassed amidst some blazing sunshine...I hope you can repeat the event next year."

Well, yes! I'm going to bite the bullet and have a go - provisional date for finals is Saturday the 8th August 2026. This is the tricky follow-up album and we can't rely on the August sunshine. Furthermore, if more teams enter, which is seeming likely, we will have to find a way of filtering matches into to a workable and enjoyable finals day.

I'm consulting with 2025 team captains now and plan to formally announce tournament details before Christmas.
